Four solar eclipses by July 2028

Two are total and two are annular. An annular eclipse never reaches totality, so certified glasses are needed from start to finish, and every eclipse is seen as a partial eclipse far beyond its path.

  1. Annular eclipse

    South America and West Africa

  2. Total eclipse

Spain, North Africa and the Middle East, with up to 6 minutes 23 seconds of totality

  3. Annular eclipse

    South America, Portugal and Spain

  4. Total eclipse

    Australia and New Zealand
