My first H-Apha telescope. I’m totally amazed with the results. A little learning curve but well woth the time. Posting my images on our towns forum brings nothing but praise for the wonders aquried. Only complaint is i want bigger although this is more than adequite. Did i mention great customer service. Thank you Faye

Wow, just wow! Jaw-dropping images I can’t believe what I’m seeing, not often do I get way more than I expected. I called customer service for an upgraded blocking filter while the scope was on order, and they answered immediately and quickly accommodated me, fantastic service!

The Telescope arrived. nicely packaged, and I was pleased with the quality of the
equipment however i have not had the ability to use the telescope as of yet.
Will be buying additional accessories in the future,

It was worth the wait!!
Coming from a Coronado PST 40mm/SolarMax 40mm this is a giant improvement. The image is much brighter and more evenly lit. Once centered in the eyepiece, I can see all the features of the Sun no problem with my Baader Hyperion Zoom lens. The solar details are super sharp and the tilt plate works great for fine-tuning different solar features. The helical focuser is all I need and I can get good focus for both my eye and camera without any funny stuff. I use an ASI 294 Uncooled camera and managed a 4 hour timelapse you can see here: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/VxqQuP-YVfw
It’s awesome watching solar features appear and move in such alien ways, but it often can take hours to witness and that’s one of the wonderful benefits of a timelapse! Which this telescope handled flawlessly. It stared at the sun for hours on end and has no damage or wear, ready for hours and hours more. This means we’re ready to share this telescope with the public now!
Also, the Sun finder works great.
One inconvenience was the placement of the small dovetail. It is not near the center of balance and makes it difficult for me to balance the telescope on any kind of mount, especially with a heavier eyepiece in the back like my zoom lens.
A clam-shell like the SolarMax, longer dovetail or better placed dovetail would be more ideal but of course solar nerds getting into these kinds of telescopes likely have all those options laying around from their night-telescopes. Which I did and boy does it look funny on a Losmandy G11 hooked to a big 11″ D-Plate!
Anyway, I could ramble on about it. It’s a great scope. If you’re like me, want to share Ha views but rather have a simple, reliable telescope that can handle hours of use and has no knobs for kids to grab onto (tuner/focuser) AND you have spare dovetails or clamshells to help balance it, get this telescope as-is and have a million blasts!!
