Still in need of lodgings for the 2017 total solar eclipse? Southern Illinois University has you covered. Located in Carbondale IL, SIU has the following packages still available for those that want to witness Nasa Edge and Lunt Solar Systems put on an amazing Live Megacast of this celestial event.
Packages Include:
Lodging, food and activities
- Check in as early as Friday, Aug 19th
- Check out as late as Tuesday, Aug 22nd
- All meals for Saturday, Sunday and Monday are included.
- Eclipse and outdoor educational programs on Saturday and Sunday.
- Adventure activities on Saturday and Sunday night
- Prime eclipse viewing locations on Monday.
- Live streaming of the eclipse if weather is inclement
Package prices:
- $250 per person on camping pads (located one mile from accommodations.) – Primitive camping only, must hike to site.
- $600 per person in group cabins (central shower and bathhouses); eight, ten and 24 person cabins available.
- $700 per person in group lodges (shared shower and bathrooms); 18 and 22 person lodges available
- School group special – $450 per person for school groups of 20 or more (applies for cabin use only, no lodges or hotel rooms)
